The name “Raphael” comes from an ancient word related to healing—and versions of this name can be found across cultures. It points us towards the idea that we are each a part of something bigger than ourselves.
For Neurorestoration this is embodied in our work, focused on positively impacting the lives of children and adults living with neurological conditions. We have an active bench in vitro neuroscience laboratory program to investigate future possibilities.
Our goal is to innovate new treatments and practices that help restore a person’s ability to be the best they can be. Restoration, hence, is a kind of healing, and the name Raphael reminds us of the importance and awe-inspiring nature of this exploration.

Looking for Participants for a New Clinical Trial
The Nemours Children’s Health Neuroscience team is looking for participants for a new clinical trial in partnership with Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital's Center for Neurorestoration.
Qualifying participants should have weakness or paralysis in one or both arms and be near or over the age of ten.
