The Rehab with Electrical Stimulation Therapy to Optimize (RESTORE) Stroke Study is testing whether Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) combined with rehabilitation therapy can help improve arm weakness and function in people who have had a stroke. In this study, participants will have a small device implanted in their brain that provides electrical stimulation, then undergo five months of outpatient therapy to see if this combination helps restore arm movement better than therapy alone. The study is looking for stroke survivors who had their stroke between 1-6 years ago and still have arm weakness on one side. This research aims to find new ways to help people regain arm function even years after their stroke occurred.
